Our approach to designing student practice routines has proven instrumental in guiding pianists of all levels to find effective solutions to their musical challenges.

According to our teaching philosophy, we believe that teaching children is quite similar to caring for little plants.

At Royale Piano, we are hyper-sensitive to when students are learning and recognize that personal growth takes place at varying speeds. We are committed to matching quality lesson material to each individual based on their music preference and pace of learning with respect to what they need to push forward through a music challenge. By carefully identifying and measuring where a student is at, we understand how to modify our teaching approach to help them navigate through each step of the learning process. We readily (and happily) expect to repeat ourselves, as we understand the seemingly basic fundamental concepts of music are not likely to absorb or remembered very well during the first few times hearing it. Our goal is to ultimately help you be your own guide while critically thinking in music.

Since it is easy to get lost while reading sheet music, our commitment to you is to offer the instructions you need that will help set you back on track.

Fundamentally, above all else, this listening value of ours at Royale Piano is not only our top priority, but also our greatest expertise. Accurately painting a good sonic picture requires the strength of a well-trained ear that expertly listens. A skilled musician must also develop the audiation skills needed that can spatially isolate sounds, pattern recognition of short and long spaces of time, discern melodic phrases, intervals between pitches, building functional harmony and much more. The skill overall requires honoring the particular use of sound, silence and motion.

In addition to our offering of Zoom piano lessons online, we understand the fundamental importance of providing lessons that contain the least amount of audio and latency issues. Our priority is to also teach and provide you with basic knowledge on using music technology so you can play and share music with your loved ones or anyone else around the world.
