Piano lessons tend to split into two pieces: theory and practice.

Music theory helps us properly analyze the music, ultimately gearing us for better understanding on how to perform the music through accurate sight reading, technique and interpretation. Once we’ve apply what is learned from theory to the actual practice, we can skillfully infuse our own unique interpretation, allowing us to creatively make the piece our own.

We also learn the art of “creating in the moment” or improvisation which then paves the way for creation of your own music.

Your established practice should reflect the sequence of personalized exercises learned from lessons that gradually advance your piano playing, deepen music understanding and enhance the strength, flexibility and overall dexterity in your hands and fingers. We can always make adjustments to the piano practice if results are unsatisfactory. In no time, you’ll begin to play multiple techniques on the piano effortlessly while reading sheet music, play by ear or memory, all at the same time.
